Fate’s Perfect Justice – Never Losing Hope

Imagine you’re young and in love beyond comprehension. Imagine every single minute you spend with your lover is sheer joy and excitement. Imagine your lover loving you and feeling the same way, treating you like you’re the most incredible human being on the face of the planet. Imagine your lover being perfect, loveable, admired by everyone, talented and good-looking. Imagine he’s the reason you’ve managed to pull through the roughest time in your life.

Now, imagine you lose all of that in a split second, abruptly, brutally, cruelly, viciously – forever. Imagine it happens when you’re in your toughest moment, where you need your lover the most, when you know he is the only one who can save you from pain, misery and an unhappy life. Imagine the main reason for losing the object of your immense love is your own flesh and blood, one of the two people who gave you life – your own father.

Now, imagine there is nothing you can do about it because your lover has left the country and you can’t go after him because the law limits your freedom of movement. Imagine you decide to live your life being unhappy. Imagine you live your life for years that way, unhappy, carrying a feeling of great loss that is eating you from inside, hating everything and everyone around you, doing things for all the wrong reasons, just to get back at your father, at reality – at life.

Yet, hope keeps you sane. Hope to reunite with your high school sweetheart. Hope to be able to love again. Hope to be able to be happy again. Hope to capture that sense of security and satisfaction you only had with your teenage lover. Hope to feel alive and worthy again.

It’s not so easy to imagine all of that and remain indifferent to the suffering of a delicate soul, is it?

Fate's Perfect Justice - Front Cover

Well, us humans, we are configured differently. Some of us take life head on and adapt to new situations. Some of us find it hard to adapt. Some of us work to control the events occurring in our lives. Some of us become slaves to events; succumb to them, enabling them to change our lives. Some of us lose hope. Some of us never do.

Lisa Ann Epstein lost Roy Cohen, the love of her life. With him gone, she lost the ability to love or to be happy again. She lost her trust in her parents, in people – in life. But she never lost hope of someday reuniting with her high school sweetheart. Battling life’s hardships, feeling vulnerable and aching all over, she waited for fate’s perfect Justice.
